Pastor Blackwood Greetings Community Friend,

"There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven"-Ecclesiates 3:1.

We all face seasons of change during our life. In fact, change is inevitable. If you are not changing and growing, then something is drastically wrong. Change may be as simple as moving from one town to another or as complicated as changing career paths. For some people, everyday introduces new and seemingly unbearable changes. It may be a sudden illness, loss of a job, an accident, a major fallout with a loved one, or even the death of someone close. Sometimes these changes happen so quickly without any warning that it proves difficult to cope. At times people turn to alcohol, drugs, or even violent behavior when they do not see an apparent solution.

However, I am here to assure you today that there is a solution! That solution is in the person of Christ Jesus. No matter what life throws your way, you can and will rise above any temporary setbacks or disappointments. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord speaks directly to his people by saying "For I know the plans that I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Once you realize the truth in this statement, you realize that every challenging situation, every unexplainable event, every disappointment, each new relationship, every success, each joyful occassion - each season was designed especially for you by a loving God. Each moment of your life was thoughtfully designed to bring you into an excellent place. In fact, God's purpose for your life preceded your birth. According to Psalm 139:16, David understood how intimately God was involved in his life when he exclaimed "You saw me before I was born, every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed"

So dear friends, if this present season in your life seems impossible, remember that God loves you and he has a special plan for your life. Take courage, your season of difficulties will not last forever. In the same fashion that spring follows winter, it is the same manner that a new day, a brighter day will spring in your life.

May God richly bless you always,

Pastor Romency Blackwood
